Host His Presence

A devotional reflection on abiding in Him and learning to host His Presence in daily life.

“…apart from Me you can do nothing.”
— John 15:5 (NASB)

We do not seek merely to experience God’s Presence occasionally.

We are called to host His Presence continually.

Hosting His Presence is not adding God to our lives. It is ordering our lives around the One who already dwells within us.

This involves cultivating sensitivity to the Holy Spirit through humility, quick repentance, daily surrender, prayer, worship, meditation upon God as Scripture reveals Him, and obedience to His voice.

None of these earn His Presence. They are expressions of love toward the One who has made His home within us.

As we yield to Him, the reality of His indwelling becomes increasingly evident in our thoughts, attitudes, words, and actions.

Reflection

Am I simply seeking moments of God’s Presence, or am I ordering my life around the One who dwells within me?

What might the Holy Spirit be inviting me to surrender, change, or obey today?

Prayer

Father, thank You for making Your home within me through the Holy Spirit. Teach me to abide in Christ and to live continually aware of Your Presence. Shape my thoughts, attitudes, words, and actions as I surrender to You. Help me to worship You, meditate upon You as Scripture reveals You, and obey Your voice.

May my life become a place where Your Presence is welcomed, honored, and expressed.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
